Coaching American English gives me the opportunity to help people transform. With over 900 sessions taught to professionals, graduate students, and ambitious learners from around the world, I've learned that fluency isn't just about grammar. It's about exchanging the gift of communication.
My path to communication coaching wasn't traditional, and that's exactly what makes me effective. I graduated magna cum laude from Babson College with a double major in finance and marketing, and a concentration in communications. Over the following three decades I built a career spanning finance, banking, real estate, corporate training, and luxury hospitality. I know what professional communication looks and sounds like at various levels and environments.
When I decided to formalize what I'd been doing naturally my entire career, I earned three advanced TEFL certifications. This has allowed me to bring both worlds into every session: the real-time professional fluency of a native speaker from New York, and the linguistic tools of an experienced language professional.
My private coaching is structured, yet the experience feels more like a trusted conversation than a classroom. Clients often tell me I'm part coach, part therapist; and I take that as the highest compliment. Together with each client, a path is created that's based on my where they'll see the most benefit.
As an extension to my private instruction, I'm recording videos that are subject specific. This allows you to conveniently explore American English with very little pressure.
